Responsibilities
Summary:
The Vice President, Talent Acquisition and Provider Recruitment leads a team of talent acquisition professionals and is responsible for developing and executing a talent strategy focused on the needs of the business. The VP serves as a member of the HR Executive team, focused on proactive identification, evaluation, sourcing, recruiting and hiring of professional, non-professional, and technical positions as well as physicians and advanced practice providers, with the overall goal of ensuring Ascension has a ready workforce.
Core Responsibilities:
- Through close alignment with Organizational Effectiveness leadership, develops talent strategies in support of achieving the Talent and Workforce Integration pillar of the Ascension Strategic Plan.
- Assesses talent needs based on organizational priorities, including current and future state gap analysis and cultivation of internal and external sources of talent.
- Designs and deploys strategic solutions that enhance the provider’s and associate’s hiring journey with an emphasis on recruitment marketing, talent attraction, retention and engagement.
- Identifies opportunities for improved performance or process improvement in the talent acquisition function, including technology needed for an exceptional candidate experience.
- Bridges partnership with HR executive leadership and market/system office leadership to align existing or deliver new initiatives and programs that cultivate a culture of high performance grounded in Ascension’s core values.
- Ensures strategic and operational plans, communications, and other activities nationally are aligned and intentional, supporting a high performing culture.
- Enhances the associate experience and establishes a comprehensive workforce strategy using business analytics to forecast, strategize and identify new opportunities.
- Leads and manages cross-functional projects and programs effectively and efficiently by escalating risks, tracking decisions, empowering decision makers, identifying interdependencies, building project plans and managing stakeholders.
- Ensures there are processes and structures in place to deliver organizational performance outcomes on time, within budget and aligned to Ascension’s Strategic Plan.
- Fosters a culture of appreciation, belongingness, inclusivity, diversity and equity (ABIDE) to drive the associate experience.

Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
- 7 years of experience required.
- 10 years of experience preferred.
- 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
