Job Description Summary
Looking for a lab assistant predominately for clinical microbiology. However, if no microbiology set up required, lab assistant will be used to help set up clinical chemistry, hematology, and immunology labs for MLT instructors.
Duties
1. Main responsibility is plating unknowns in MLT 240.
2. Fungal set ups for MLT 240
3. Laboratory cleaning
4. Preparing blood smears and samples for hematology
5. Preparing gram stains for microbiology
6. Responsible for quality control bacterial growth
7. Preparation of Chemistry lab reagents
8. Maintaining adequate supply and inventory
9. Monthly lab maintenance
10. Works with instructors in developing lab exercises.
11. Filing clinical documents

Minimum Requirements
1. High School graduate
2. Current MLT student or Graduate of MLT/MLS program
2. Current MLT student or Graduate of MLT/MLS program
Preferred Qualifications
1. MLT degree
