Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with a strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments to join their dynamic team in the Aerospace sector. This role is critical in auditing and analyzing the flow of financial data for various aerospace projects. The Financial Analyst will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of financial information related to aerospace programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit and Analyze Financial Data: Review and audit financial data associated with aerospace projects to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Cost Tracking and Forecasting: Track and monitor project expenses, budget adherence, and financial forecasts, while providing recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analyses for aerospace projects, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and discrepancies in project data and collaborate with project managers and departments to mitigate potential issues.
- Support Decision-Making: Assist the CFO and other senior leaders in strategic financial decision-making by providing insights into project performance, costs, and financial outlook.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and recommending process changes to improve the flow of financial data and the accuracy of reporting.
- Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), government contracting regulations, and financial guidelines specific to the aerospace industry.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide financial guidance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications such as CFA, CPA, or MBA are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst within a manufacturing or industrial environment (Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, or Heavy Industry preferred).
- Strong understanding of project-based financial management, cost accounting, and auditing processes.
- Experience with financial software and tools (ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, etc.).
Skills:
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present financial findings to senior leadership.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
