About the Role
The ASPCA is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to fill the role of Animal Welfare Manager, overseeing the care and enrichment of animals at our new Recovery & Rehabilitation Center in Pawling, NY. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing daily monitoring processes, data collection, and communication within and between teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the team of Care & Enrichment Technicians (CETs) and develop, implement, and oversee daily monitoring processes
- Develop, implement, and execute strategies to keep animal care and enrichment equipment and supplies organized and efficiently located
- Monitor the inventory and conditions of animal care and enrichment supplies and request additional supplies before stock is depleted
- Collaborate with behavior and veterinary team members to ensure open and ample communication, excellent care, and close monitoring of every animal in the shelter
Requirements:
- At least two years of experience working in an animal shelter in a hands-on role
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with shelter software systems or Salesforce a plus
