Position: Electrical Designer

Job Description

Electrical Designer will work with project managers, engineers and other designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of industrial plant electrical systems. Responsibilities will include:

Preparation of the following engineering drawings:

• Single line diagrams and panelboard layouts based on information from electrical engineer
• Conduit and cable tray plans/ sections/ details designed to NEC
• Conduit and cable schedules utilizing equipment layouts and vendor schematics
• Conduit block diagrams and interconnection diagrams based on equipment layouts and vendor terminal block information
  
  

Ability to accompany other personnel on field surveys in an industrial environment. When performing outside clients office, appropriate safety training and safety equipment will be provided by Client and/or Client as required.

• Communicate with the engineers and designers from other departments to insure correct and up to date information is uniform
• Flexible schedule between 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
  
  

Ability to climb stairs, hot/cold enviroments, heavy industrial setting. This is not a remote position.

Travel: some travel is required to facilities outside of Indiana. These would be one to two days onsite to gather information.

Software: AutoCad (AutoCad LT), excel, word, etap is a plus but not required
