What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMT - Basic position at Aspen Valley Hospital?
We are currently hiring for a PRN EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN - EMT to work rotating shift within our Aspen Ambulance.
Compensation Range:
$24.86 - 39.78 per hour
Non Exempt

Compensation package is based on your specific qualifications for the role.
Requirements:
- Unrestricted license to practice as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Completion of CDPHE-recognized IV Approval course
- Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
- Current driver license, or ability to obtain prior to start date, with minimum 3 years of driving experience and acceptable MVR.
Position Overview:
Administers care to sick and injured persons in pre-hospital and interfacility setting as directed by paramedics, local protocols, and physician orders. Responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital.
