ASRC is looking for a Artificial Intelligence Data Scientist to leverage advanced data analytics and AI techniques to support the mission objectives of our customer. This role will be pivotal in optimizing business processes, streamlining operations, and enhancing decision-making by analyzing and interpreting complex data sets. The AI Data Scientist will develop and implement data models, algorithms, and predictive models to drive mission success, ensuring all solutions are safe, secure, and ethical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze regulations, policy, and guidance for mission impact.
- Correlate similar data to find actionable results.
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identifyopportunities to leveragemission data to optimizebusiness processes, streamline operations, or better inform decision-making.
- Mine and analyze data from mission data sets to drive optimization and improvement of business processes, operational techniques, and mission strategies.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimizemission outcomes.
- Analyze frameworks, models, and solutions, and test for quality.
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement frameworks, models, and solutions, and monitoroutcomes.
- Develop processes and tools to monitorand analyze the performance and data accuracy of frameworks, models, and solutions.
- Collect data through means such as analyzing mission results or by setting up and managing new studies.
- Transfer data into a new format to make it more appropriate for analysis.
- Create new, experimental frameworks to collect data.
- Build tools to automate data collection.
- Search through large data sets for usable information.
- Create strategies, reports, and presentations for mission use.
Qualifications:
- Experience in reviewing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics frameworks and solutions to support the mission, in alignment with the Department’s Enterprise Data Strategy and applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Expertisein technologies such as Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLM), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Generative Pretrained Transformer (GPT).
- Understanding of data to leveragethese tools ethically, ensuring trustworthy mission success, increased worker safety, improved operational efficiency, mission acceleration, strategic portfolio alignment, increased productivity, and improved decision-making.
- Familiarity with advanced data analytics techniques to extract valuable insights from various data sources, enabling evidence-based decision-making, informed policy formulation, and improved operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of data collection and integration mechanisms, data analytics techniques, insight generation processes, and reporting and visualization methodologies.
- Ability to ensure AI tools are configured and used ethically, protecting against bias, ensuring privacy and civil liberties, and maintainingtrustworthy outcomes.
- Ability to identifyopportunities and develop business cases to increase worker safety, improve operational efficiency, accelerate the mission, strategically align the portfolio, increase productivity, and improve decision-making.
- Participation in analyses of alternatives for AI and Data Analytics frameworks, models, and solutions.
- Ability to provide decision-makers with timely and accurate insights derived from data analysis.
- Support for AI-, Geospatial-, and Data-related data calls and prepare responses for additional ad hoc data requests.
- Participation in AI-, Geospatial-, and Data-related working groups and meetings, delivering summary notes, and informing stakeholders of updates.
- Support for the creation and implementation of an enterprise data strategy in collaboration with field sites.
- Serve as the point of contact for geospatial-related matters.
- Support for Green IT efforts and related goals, including the quarterly DCOI inventory data calls and compliance with IT-related sustainability policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
