ASRC Federal Communications is seeking a Dining Facility Manager for our ISS2 contract supporting our Air Force customer. This position is located on Wake Island.
The successful DFAC Manager will be responsible for day to day management of catering operations within his/her area of responsibility. The DFAC Manager will be a key member of the management team. His/her primary objectives will be: enhancing current operations, increasing efficiency and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Resposibilities:
- Coordinating food & beverage services
- Ensuring adequate safety standards are maintained
- Ensuring compliance with health & sanitation regulations
- Organizing, training, and leading the DFAC staff
- Preparing invoices and record keeping
- Preparing expense budgets
- Menu planning and preparation
- Ordering and maintaining inventories
- Assist with company store activities e.g. ordering food, clothing, and souvenirs. Assist with supervision of store clerk
- Serve alcoholic beverages, tend bar, and manage activities at the Drifter’s Reef bar
- Recommending improvements to current policy and procedure
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance of contractual requirements
- Ensuring proper dress and appearance standards are maintained
- Maintaining effective lines of communication with site management and customers
- Taking an innovative approach to problem solving
- Performing other functions as necessary to achieve operational objectives
- Industry-standard qualifications, preferably from a military background
- DFAC (Dining Facility) Management experience
- Successful completion of formal food services training
- Be highly motivated and able to operate in a remote environment
- Possess a valid US driver's license
- All persons employed for this contract must be U.S. citizens and qualified to obtain and/or maintain a personnel security clearance with the U.S. Government. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. After receipt of an employment offer letter, applicants must complete the Standard Form 86 and be granted an interim Secret clearance by the S. Government before the deployment process can begin.
