ASRC Federal is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join our team in Reston, VA.
Key Role
Serve as a Vice President of Finance for an Operating Group within ASRC Federal Holding Company (AFHC). AFHC supports various U.S. Government customers, including NASA, Civilian, and DOD clients. This position will report into the AFHC CFO organization and support operationally the Operating Group President.
Ensure the accuracy of financial results and outlooks, including the budgeting, forecasting, and actual financials related to Revenue, Operating Profit, Cash Management, and indirect rates. Additionally, participate in strategic planning, support new business opportunities, and have financial cognizance over new business pursuits within the Operating Group.
Direct authority and cognizance over a team of business management and project control professionals, including employees geographically dispersed over the U.S. As such, this position will have responsibility for providing annual planning and budgeting, monthly forecasting, ensuring the accuracy of revenue recognition, analyzing unbilled and billed receivables, leading project setup, providing requisite variance analysis, and the timely delivery of client deliverables. This position will work in coordination with functional peers, including leadership within pricing, contracts and procurement, human resources, business development, accounting, and FP&A.
Responsible for-profit maximization in coordination with business development and operational leadership. Key role in ensuring new programs are bid and executed in a fiscally responsible manner. Additionally, ensure that the organization adheres to applicable regulations, notably FAR, CAS, and GAAP.

Required Qualifications
- 12 years of financial, accounting, or business management experience plus a BS degree in a related field, MS/MBA preferred
- Prior experience motivating and leading a team of financial professionals
- Working knowledge of FAR, CAS and other related requirements/regulations
- Experience with and working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Cognos
- US citizenship and ability to meet government requirements
- Successful applicant must be willing to travel as necessary, with major offices and programs across the United States
- Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted financial partner to Executive Leadership over a large business base; collaborative experience working across functional areas to deliver results; strong leadership abilities and presentation skills; and ability to communicate understandably and concisely with internal and external stakeholders
- Prior experience with or strong working knowledge in the following areas:
- Optimizing organizational alignment and improving organizational ROI/ROS
- Supporting NASA, Civilian, DOD and similar government agency programs
- Managing DSO
- Budgeting and reporting using TM1
- Supporting Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) requirements
- Working with multiple types of contracts, e.g. CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, FFP, FP/LOE, FPIF, T&M
- Adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
