Outreach Specialist II/Planner II

Assedo Consulting provides planning and public outreach services for infrastructure projects in the planning, design, and construction phases of development.
Our ideal candidate has:
- 3 – 5 years of relevant project experience working in urban planning, community outreach or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Community Planning, Journalism, Marketing or other related field;
- Ability to work on multiple tasks for multiple project teams;
- Interest in community improvement, education, engagement and stewardship;
- Strong communications skills (written and verbal); and
- Positive attitude and outlook.
Examples of typical job duties include:
- Reviewing technical documents and developing messages to share with the public;
- Coordinating meeting logistics (identifying potential meeting sites, scheduling meeting details, preparing decision matrices of options for the project);
- Attending field and community meetings with the team and preparing meeting notes;
- Leading parts of the community engagement process at client and public meetings;
- Creating project maps and visual aids for public information;
- Developing project databases and producing accompanying reports; and
- Developing task plans and other outreach documents for projects.
