Job Description
A Code Enforcement Specialist plays an active role in achieving long-term customer satisfaction inthe context of Community Association relationships. Specific responsibilities will vary withdesignated communities and may include, but are not limited to: Inspecting properties formaintenance, landscaping, safety, and compliance issues and accurately recording findings.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Heavy out of the office work.
- Walk and inspect property to ensure HOA Code is followed.
- Investigate and enforce property codes within boundaries.
- Schedule and perform systematic property maintenance inspections to maintain or achieve
minimum property standards. - Conduct HOA property inspections utilizing an inspection check list.
- Notify responsible parties of code issues given in writing, by phone, in person andelectronically.
- Create and mail out certified letters.
- Manage and respond to emails.
- Respond to and investigate allegations of violations of codes to determine validity ofcomplaints and the appropriate course of action to mitigate issues.
- Prepare Convenance Committee package and attend Convenance Committee meetings once a month.
- Attend monthly board meeting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Associates Degree Preferred.
- 0 – 3 years of directly related or closely related experience.
- Professional customer service skills with knowledge of conflict resolution techniques.
- Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, and a team player.
- Time management, time critical prioritization skills, and ability to multi-task.
