Key Responsibilities:- Kitchen Operations: Manage daily kitchen operations, including overseeing all stations, inventory, and ordering, ensuring precision and consistency in every dish.
- Menu Development: Actively participate in menu planning sessions, contributing creative ideas and ensuring that all dishes meet our exacting standards.
- Leadership: Lead by example, fostering a positive work environment and mentoring junior kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills.
- Training: Clearly communicate expectations to junior sous chefs and hourly staff, ensuring that new hires receive proper training and support.
- Cost Management: Oversee labor and food costs, tracking weekly and making necessary adjustments to meet budgetary goals.
- Health & Safety: Audit kitchen areas for compliance with health codes, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Inspiration: Promote a culture of positivity and pride, connecting with all staff members to inspire a collaborative and joyful work atmosphere.
- Minimum 5 years as a Chef de Partie and/or 2 years as a Sous Chef in fine dining or private club settings.
- Unparalleled attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest culinary standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and pivot priorities as needed.
- A passion for culinary creativity and innovation, with a desire to push boundaries in the kitchen.
- Ability to stand for at least 8 hours and lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to climb stairs multiple times during a shift.
