Summary
The QC Lab Technician will perform wet chemistry and instrumental laboratory analyses to ensure quality control of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. This role requires expertise in analytical chemistry, operating laboratory instruments, and performing chemical analysis with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and final products.
- Approve and release raw materials and finished products.
- Generate and apply labels for raw materials and final products.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments, including Gas Chromatographs (GC), High-Pressure Liquid Chromatographs (HPLC), autotitrators, Karl Fischer apparatus, viscometers, furnaces, and drying ovens.
- Independently perform lab duties after 2-4 weeks of training.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments daily.
- Troubleshoot instrument issues as needed.
- Accurately document and communicate analytical results in written, electronic, and oral formats.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to support production processes.
- Follow company policies, lab safety guidelines, and maintain compliance standards.
- Keep the laboratory organized according to 5S principles.
- Perform routine lab tasks such as chemical preparation, glassware cleaning, sample archiving, and documentation control.
- Conduct instrument calibrations and Acid/Base titrations, including calculations for Molarity, Normality, and Mole Equivalents.
- Apply knowledge of chemical nomenclature, safety procedures, and MSDS usage.
- Bachelors degree in relevant field
- Strong background in analytical chemistry and laboratory techniques.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting laboratory instruments.
- Ability to perform basic chemical calculations and chemical analysis.
- Understanding of chemical safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
