Pay : $35-$43 / hr (depending on experience)
Schedule : 1st shift
Type of role : 6 months contract; possible extension
At this time, Astrix cannot transfer nor sponsor a work Visa for this position. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Research Scientist II daily tasks :
Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of polymer samples to support vision care research and development projects.
Design and execute experiments to for materials characterization, ensuring accuracy, precision, and reliability of results.
Validate analytical methods including High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), and other relevant techniques.
Interpret and analyze experimental data and present findings to internal customers.
Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Good documentation and laboratory practice. Good communication.
Research Scientist II Requirements :
MS, or B.S in analytical chemistry, chemistry, materials science or related scientific field ( 2 years with MS, 5 years for B.S )
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Hands-on experience in wet chemistry, spectroscopy analysis, or separation science ( such as HPLC, or GC etc.)
