Position Opportunity
The Laboratory Technician II functions within a Class 5 cleanroom and prepares the chemicals and equipment for the lab analysis process. In addition, this position is responsible to support the Chemist and other technicians performing the cleanliness verification process. From time to time this position will assist production with cleaning and packaging as required.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Perform various analytic tests including but not limited to: Particle Counts, NVR, UV Testing, Borescope inspections, etc.
- Issue quality and failure reports
- Perform solvent lot blank test
- Interact with source inspector and assemblers
- Maintain and troubleshoot lab instruments
- All responsibilities of Laboratory Technician I
- Analyze and implement projects in compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws
Other Duties / Responsibilities
- Assist other technicians and departments as needed
- Compliant with all training, quality, compliance and safety policies, practices and procedures
- All other responsibilities assigned by Lead or Manager
Qualifications
Education/Training/Certifications: Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Related Experience: Minimum 4 years lab experience or equivalent
Overtime: Willing and able to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and on short notice call in as required. 10-20% overtime to be expected
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and understand work instructions from Production Management System (ICMS), documents, correspondence and memos
- Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
- Ability to wear respirator as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. Should be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Moderate computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Legal capacity to comply with federally mandated requirements of the U.S. Export Control Laws
Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
