The At Bat Summer Program is seeking passionate and dedicated ELA Teachers to provide instruction to students entering grades 1 through 8. A complete curriculum will be provided, allowing educators to focus on delivering engaging and effective lessons that support literacy growth. Teachers will work in a supportive, energetic environment that encourages creativity, relationship-building, and student achievement.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver age-appropriate ELA instruction using the provided curriculum.
- Support students in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and oral expression.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment for students of varying grade levels.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic and developmental needs.
- Track student progress and offer meaningful feedback.
- Collaborate with program staff and participate in planning meetings as needed.
- Ensure student safety and maintain a structured learning space.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, ELA, or related field required
- Valid teaching certification in ELA or elementary/middle grades education.
- Experience teaching students in grades 1–8.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to follow and adapt provided curriculum to student needs.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to creating a fun learning experience.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Program runs from June 16, 2025 to August 1, 2025; hours are 9 am to 2 pm every Monday through Friday (except holidays).
- Competitive pay based on experience and credentials.
