The At Bat Summer Program is seeking energetic and skilled Math Teachers to provide instruction to students entering grades 1 through 8. A complete curriculum will be provided, enabling teachers to focus on delivering fun, engaging, and impactful lessons. Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver math instruction using the provided curriculum to students in grades 1–8.
- Reinforce foundational math skills such as number sense, problem-solving, operations, fractions, geometry, and pre-algebra concepts based on grade level.
- Differentiate instruction to support a wide range of learning styles and skill levels.
- Create a supportive, engaging, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Monitor student understanding and provide feedback to support growth.
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators and program staff to meet program goals.
- Participate in planning meetings and support other program-related activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Mathematics, or a related field required
- Valid teaching certification in Math or elementary/middle grades education.
- Experience teaching math to students in grades 1–8.
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
- Ability to implement provided curriculum with flexibility to adapt for student success.
- Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Program runs from June 16, 2025, to August 1, 2025; teaching schedule is 9 am to 2 pm every Monday through Friday (except holidays).
- Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
