AT3 Staffing is engaged in a search for an Accounting Manager in the Dayton OH area. The Accounting Manager will formulate and implement the financial plans and policies to ensure the availability of funds needed to meet operating requirements and implement strategic plans. Accountable for the current and long-term effectiveness of all financial functions of the organization, including accounting, financial analysis and budgeting, risk management, and Management Information Systems.
Responsibilities of Accounting Manager:
Direct, manage, control and review all financial functions of the organization to contribute to financial stability and operational goals.
Oversees the preparation of the annual budget, analyzes and reports variances.
Initiate and monitor banking transactions and account status. Enters journal entries for transactions.
Provide financial guidance and counsel to top management to facilitate the development of strategic goals and tactical plans that support the mission and general welfare of the organization.
Assure accurate accounting and reporting of financial transactions and related analyses and alert management of trends and potential financial problems.
Provide a financial consulting resource for the Board of Trustees and management staff.
Assure the protection of assets through the implementation and maintenance of effective control procedures.
Assure compliance with federal, State and Local payroll and other applicable taxes.
Evaluates and recommends insurance coverage for protection of the organization assets against property losses and potential liabilities.
Manage and create an appropriate climate, which enhances and supports the development of quality social programs and encourages higher caliber employee performance.]
Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization and all federal and state laws regarding the privacy of protected health information.
Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization regarding the use of technology and technology-based information.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field. Active CPA or MBA preferred.
Minimum Experience: 5 years experience in accounting or finance field.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a medical facility, medicare/medicaid experience.
