What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Lead position at ATC Automation?
The Shipping and Receiving Lead is primarily responsible for all tasks related to shipping, receiving, and kitting of project materials. The Shipping and Receiving lead will coordinate with purchasing, production, and management teams to effectively and efficiently oversee the logistics of goods entering and leaving the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving, inspection, and verification of received goods, parts, and equipment against purchase orders and engineering specifications.
- Shipping of parts and large machinery
- Kitting of parts based on production needs
- Maintain control of all parts and materials that enter or leave the business.
- Ensure proper organization and cleanliness of all shipping and receiving areas.
- Maintain appropriate records (ex. Receipt logs, packing slips)
- Visually monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with buyers.
- Control access to parts and materials
- Coordinate with production and management teams to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of processes and procedures for inventory management, record keeping, ISO, and other systems as needed
- Perform additional duties as needed
- On occasion life items up to 50 pounds
- Operating forklifts and safely moving heavy equipment
Minimum Experience:
- 5 years of direct experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control
- Exceptionally organized and meticulous
- Demonstrated track record controlling materials
- Forklift experience and certification
- Demonstrated ability using computers (Excel, Outlook, ERP systems)
Preferred Experience:
- Experience developing processes and procedures
- Experience with ISO 9001
- Machine building and/or manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
