Description:
The Athletics are seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team and support various marketing and advertising efforts for the club. This individual will work closely with internal teams to help execute email marketing campaigns, manage website updates, facilitate ticket marketing initiatives, assist with executing advertising campaigns, and event management. This role will report to the Marketing Manager. This is a hybrid position, with some gameday responsibilities in West Sacramento.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with MLB and internal teams to create, execute, and monitor email marketing campaigns for fan engagement, promotions, and ticket sales.
- Work with MLB to update and maintain the team's website.
- Assist in the development and implementation of advertising plans, including traditional media buys and digital advertising campaigns.
- Support game presentation, including pregame and postgame on-field activities and events.
- Coordinate marketing, advertising, and promotional campaigns across all areas of opportunity, including but not limited to email campaigns, digital & social, billboard, TV, radio, and any other area of opportunity in collaboration with department leadership.
Assign projects to in-house graphic designers, videographers, and copywriters.
Oversee the marketing photo library and manage image requests to vendors, partners, and internal departments. Coordinate meetings, facilitate communication between departments, and manage marketing calendars.
Qualification/Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in sports, live entertainment, or a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail
- Hands-on experience with digital marketing, including email campaigns, social media, and online advertising
- Ability to analyze campaign performance using data and provide actionable insights
Familiarity with A/B testing and optimizing campaigns for engagement, conversions, or revenue growth - Experience segmenting audiences and personalizing marketing content based on user behavior and demographics
Proficiency with marketing and project management tools such as Asana, Adobe Creative Suite, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar) - Experience updating and managing websites
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Ability to support live events and gameday activations with flexibility around evenings and weekends as needed
- Comfortable coordinating cross-functional campaigns with departments such as Ticketing, Partnerships, and Community
- Experience assigning and managing creative assets across internal design, video, and content teams
- Understanding of brand consistency and visual storytelling
- A collaborative, proactive approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done
- Familiarity with managing or organizing marketing photo and video libraries a plus
