Who are we:
A professional basketball team and state-of-the-art arena/entertainment venue that specializes in creating memorable experiences for each guest we interact with. Job Summary:

The Guest Experience Intern will report to the Director of Guest Experience but will support the Guest Engagement department as well. He/she will support the Guest Experience department across many areas that interact with multiple departments across the organization.  This position will provide operational support to our internal employees as well as all guests who enter State Farm Arena.  Relocation and housing expenses are the responsibility of the student intern. (Please note, this role must live and work out of the Atlanta, GA area.)

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting with a smile, direct and assist guests. 
  • Consistently perform at an elevated level of service and use competent judgment. 
  • Assist with the development of Guest Experience policies and procedures that foster a culture of trust and empowerment.
  • Partner with teams throughout the organization to standardize the team member experience for all departments (Guest Experience, Security, Food & Beverage, Environmental, etc.)
  • Other duties that may be assigned

Qualifications: 

  • 3 years previous customer service experience preferred. 
  • Ability to stand 4-6 hours at a time
  • A visionary, servant leader, with a passion for serving others and creating exceptional guest experiences.
  • Customer obsessed individual, that works vigorously to understand guest needs and earn their trust.
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Experience:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited HBCU College or University as a rising Junior and Senior
  • Field of Study: Marketing, Social Media, Event Management, Finance Sustainability, Business, Communications, Hospitality, and Analytics
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
