Accounts Payable Coordinator

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed! We are seeking a professional Accounts Payable Specialist in Delaware. The ideal candidate will use excellent communication skills and high accuracy/attention to detail to successful administer the processes of the Accounting department. Responsibilities:

• Generate, prepare, and send invoices to customers accurately and promptly
• Record and apply customer payments, ensuring timely and accurate posting to the correct accounts
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies, following up as necessary to resolve issues
• Monitor outstanding balances and contact customers to follow up on overdue payments. Implement and follow up on payment plans as needed.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues, payment arrangements, and account status
• Prepare and present regular accounts receivable reports to management, highlighting key metrics and trends
• Assess and manage customer credit limits and evaluate creditworthiness in collaboration with the credit department
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions and customer communications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
