Job Overview - Accounts Receivable Director:
Our client is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Receivable Director to join their expanding finance team. This AR Director role involves managing all aspects of the credit and collections process to ensure timely payments, minimize credit risk, and reduce bad debt exposure.
Location: Montgomery County, PA
Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000/year bonus
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Accounts Receivable Director:
- Credit Policy Development: Create and enforce credit policies and procedures to assess and manage creditworthiness.
- Credit Evaluation: Conduct credit checks and evaluations, making decisions on credit account approvals.
- Accounts Monitoring: Oversee accounts receivable aging, collections activities, and address delinquent accounts.
- Customer Relations: Maintain customer relationships to resolve billing disputes and negotiate payment plans.
- Risk Analysis: Analyze payment trends and delinquency rates to mitigate credit risks.
- Credit Management: Approve credit memos, write-offs, and adjustments as per company policies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on accounts receivable aging, collections performance, and credit risk.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the credit and collections team to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Director:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 15 years in credit and collections management, with 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills: Proficient in credit risk assessment, collections strategies, and accounts receivable management.
- Leadership: Effective leadership and communication skills for managing a team and cross-department collaboration.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Epicor Eclipse ERP preferred; proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, committed to accuracy and integrity, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple priorities.
