IT Finance Analyst - Perm

Job Description:

As an IT Finance Analyst, you will play a vital role in Software Asset Management (SAM) and support the Apptio financial software. Your primary focus will be optimizing software management across the hospital, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. You will drive the implementation of the Software Asset Management policy, from gap analysis to execution planning, and contribute to optimization strategies through automation, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Additionally, this role provides an opportunity to develop IT governance expertise and gain hands-on experience with industry-leading SAM tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Security, ITS, Legal, and Engineering teams to enhance SAM processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct software license assessments, perform optimization reviews, and ensure compliance with vendor agreements.
• Improve data integration, system capabilities, and user access lifecycle management.
• Maintain accurate software asset records, implement accountability measures, and generate compliance reports.
• Define and implement Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes, manage audits, and lead process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, cost efficiency, and service delivery.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert on the Apptio application.
• Work closely with Apptio support to uphold budgeting and forecasting standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Understanding of relational databases.
• Proficiency in managing large datasets.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel (including lookups, pivot tables, data management, and manipulation).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies.

Qualifications Required (R) Preferred (P)
Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience (Required)
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Preferred)
• Licensure/Certifications (Preferred):
  • ITIL
  • PMP

• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant work experience (Required)

Technical Knowledge (Preferred)

• Operating Systems & Databases: Microsoft Windows, UNIX, Oracle, SQL
• Programming Languages: Java, HTML, Visual Basic, C, C , Perl
• Software & Platforms: HL-7, Microsoft Suite (including Project), ServiceNow
• Financial Systems (if applicable): Cobol, Lawson, XML, Kronos
• Healthcare IT Systems (if applicable)

Role-Specific Expectations (Preferred)

• Project Management & Reporting
  • Collaborate with end-user committees to define project requirements
  • Provide weekly project status reports, including issue tracking, risks, and migration strategies
• Clinical IT Responsibilities (if applicable)
  • Attend training sessions and IT update meetings
  • Train end users on equipment and clinical applications
  • Conduct workflow analysis and assess current/future states
  • Modify tables, master files, and implement necessary updates
  • Provide technical expertise to clinical users and staff
  • Monitor clinical applications and interfaces daily
  • Knowledge of cardiology, radiology, oncology, labs, and pharmacy systems
• Service Desk Support (if applicable)
  • Provide second-level support via call tracking systems
  • Support workstations, mobile devices and software installations
