We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as the full-time Director of Operations. A successful applicant will have experience working in an operations management role in food manufacturing. This individual also needs to work well as part of a mission-driven team and be adaptable and flexible to the frequent changes in an exciting start-up atmosphere. This position is responsible for managing the company’s manufacturing operation. This includes production staff, processing equipment, inventory management, ensuring a safe work environment and warehouse operations. The position reports directly to the VP of Operation and collaborates closely with the rest of the production team and management team. This is a full-time, exempt position with a four-day workweek (M-TH).
Essential Duties :
- Manage the production facility which includes manufacturing, warehouse and facilities.
- Deliver operational KPIs & cost performance
- Ensure COG’s are meeting or exceeding budget
- Manage Production planning to include all key metrics
- Evaluate equipment and process improvements that will improve capacity, productivity, food safety and employee safety.
- Manage equipment and facilities maintenance.
- Manage co-packers.
- Lead, manage and develop the operations management team.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure orders are met.
- Manage on time order shipping and warehouse receiving.
- Other duties as required
