Job Description: Atlantic is seeking an experienced aerial survey pilot for its growing operations. The primary role of this position is to serve as an aerial survey pilot flying company operated aircraft (Pacific Aerospace PAC 750XL and Cessna 208 Caravan). Primary responsibilities include safe and effective collection of airborne LiDAR and/or aerial photography data from a fixed-wing aircraft. This field-based position occasionally requires extensive travel (3-4 weeks out and 1.5-2 weeks at home with pay) and willingness to work in constantly changing environments.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties at Atlantic:
1. Serve as pilot in command in a fixed wing aircraft while maintaining applicable CFR Title 14 standards.
2. Work with our VP for Operational Resources daily to plan airborne data collection strategies aimed at meeting the schedule and quality requirements of Atlantic’s clients. This includes, but is not limited to:
· evaluating site basing
· monitoring weather conditions
· tracking and forecasting aircraft maintenance
· assisting in crew/maintenance scheduling
3. Provide daily status updates to Atlantic’s VP for Operational Resources on work performed by the field crew.
4. Completion of all post mission/flight reports.
5. Assist in light maintenance and aircraft up-keep.
Qualifications and Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must meet the following qualifications and requirements:
1. Minimum Total Time: 500 hours (25 hours turbine). Less time may be considered on an individual basis.
2. FAA Class II Medical.
3. FAA Commercial Certificate with Multi/Instrument Ratings.
4. Previous aerial survey experience preferred.
5. Previous Cessna 208 or PAC 750XL experience preferred.
6. Working knowledge with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
7. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
8. Ability to travel up to 4 weeks at a time is required.
Compensation and Benefits: This is a full-time position that is eligible for full medical, dental, vision and life insurance through Atlantic. The candidate(s) will be able to participate in the company’s 401(k) and will have both paid vacation and paid holidays throughout the year. Salary will be negotiated based on the merits of the successful candidate(s).
