Job Summary
Prospects for new clients by utilizing their existing network, centers of influence and other means to generate new leads & business. Plans and develops persuasive approaches that will convince potential clients to do business with our agency. Collaborates and works effectively with various agency unit expertise such as; Property & Casualty, Benefits, AOAO and Risk/Claims Fee Services. Assists in growing and retaining existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients.
Responsibilities
Sales Development and Client Acquisition
- Aggressively seeks new business opportunities to expand the agency’s client base.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key prospects, customers, and agency employees.
- Learns and executes the agency’s BluePrint Selling Process and Techniques.
- Drives new sales through personal networks and collaborates with the sales/technical team for meetings and demonstrations.
- Facilitates new client onboarding in partnership with the enterprise implementation team.
- Develops rapport with new clients, sets sales targets, and provides ongoing support to improve relationships.
Sales Performance and Reporting
- Meets or exceeds agency sales and retention objectives and goals.
- Submits weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in a timely manner.
- Creates and maintains client or prospect lists using the agency’s prospecting and selling programs.
- Develops and grows a profitable book of business for the agency.
- Assists the service team in rounding out and up-selling accounts and secures complete information for preparing appropriate applications.
Team Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Assists other team members to meet agency, team, and individual goals.
- Attends and participates in sales and mentor meetings, coaching calls, and required tracking activities set by the agency.
- Identifies training needs with support from managers and mentors.
- Creates, updates, and maintains the sales pipeline database.
- Develops and participates in the Sales Development Program, taking responsibility for improving technical and sales skills.
- Participates in seminars and classes for professional development.
Client Relationship Management and Marketplace Awareness
- Continually cultivates relationships with insureds and prospects.
- Assists in solving customer problems and ensuring high levels of service.
- Understands marketplace dynamics and changing market conditions, staying updated on trends and techniques to maintain a competitive status.
- Adheres to established agency procedures and performance standards for service.
- Takes on duties and prospects as assigned by agency management.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; college degree highly preferred.
- Proven sales work experience required.
- P&C insurance knowledge, experience, and/or training preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience will be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
