Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Fabrication Lead to work onshore, supporting fabrication and pre-assembly for a major US offshore windfarm. This is a contract position that requires strong leadership skills and technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the company during the fabrication of electrical systems on turbine foundations, including LV systems, earthing systems, array cables support, measurements, and SCADA/Radio systems.
- Supervise contractors to ensure successful fabrication and assembly of turbine foundations on time and within required quality standards and HSE regulations.
- Ensure free-issued equipment and components are installed, handled, and maintained in accordance with project and vendor requirements.
- Supervise commissioning/testing of electrical systems.
- Advise and support the foundation fabrication manager.
- Maintain a safe work environment within the team and contractors/sub-contractors on site according to HSE guidelines and local procedures.
- Support interfaces between contractors, sub-contractors, and QA/QC representatives.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Site experience on fabrication yards, pre-assembly, or construction sites.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with wind turbines is preferred but not required.
