We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Fabrication Team Lead to join our team on a major US offshore windfarm project. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication and pre-assembly of electrical systems on turbine foundations.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience working on fabrication yards, pre-assembly, or construction sites. Strong communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and QA/QC representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the fabrication of electrical systems on turbine foundations, including LV systems, earthing systems, array cables support, measurements, and SCADA/Radio systems.
- Ensure successful fabrication and assembly of turbine foundations on time and within quality standards and HSE regulations.
- Manage free-issued equipment and components to ensure they are installed, handled, and maintained in accordance with project and vendor requirements.
- Supervise commissioning and testing of electrical systems.
- Support the foundation fabrication manager and ensure contractors meet agreed-upon design and required specifications/quality.
- Maintain a safe work environment within the team and contractors/subcontractors on site according to HSE guidelines and local procedures.
