This is a unique opportunity to get in on the initial growth stage of a company poised for impact. We are looking for a hard-working and reliable individual to join our team as a fabricator. We are really looking for a jack of all trades that can take direction and work independently.
Previous experience required:
MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OF RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE AND 1 YEAR OF METAL STUD FRAMING EXPERIENCE.
The ideal candidate will have experience with all basic areas of residential construction, including:
- Metal Stud Framing
- Sheathing
- Window & Door Installation
- Weatherproofing & Flashing
- Insulation
- Drywall & Cement Board
- Roofing
- Carpentry
- Trim & Finish Work
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Must be able read plans and construction drawings
- Must know how to use hand tools and power tools
Our fabricators will execute every phase of construction to build our micro-houses from start to finish inside our factory warehouse, producing a finished product of the highest build quality.
DUTIES:
1. Reading and understanding building plans (Blueprints) for the purposes of accurately “Building” structures of Cold-Formed-Steel (CFS) in the facility, and when needed, in the field (jobsite) of assembly. There will be a need for you to also build from standard sawn, engineered, and milled lumber products from time to time, both in the facility, and, in the field (jobsite) of assembly.
2. “BUILDING” is defined as constructing from; CFS, Cold rolled steel, hot-rolled steel, and from standard sawn, engineered, and milled lumber products as needed to arrive at a completed structure.
3. Cutting, milling, shaping, and assembling the materials described in line 1 above from tools in the shop both mounted, and portable to arrive at a completed structure.
4. As you are safely, mentally, and physically able to do so, execute by ones-self and or by co-worker(s) or administrative staff’s assist, any work-related duty needed to complete a work-related task. This includes but is not limited to: Organizing, storing, moving, loading, cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning, painting, staining, sanding, finishing, screwing, bolting, sawing cutting, drilling, taping, masking, window-washing, caring of plants, and other incidental operations of assembly, and maintenance of the work product and work environment including the loading, and unloading the various materials of assembly, constructing structures in the facility, in the field, or elsewhere.
5. Assist vendors with information, and direction as you are informed and or equipped to do so in assisting the vendor(s) in supporting the building of an Atom Modular, LLC project.
6. Dropping, and picking up work-related products, using company vehicles.
7. Effectively communicate in writing, and verbally, work related matters and the status of projects to co-workers, and administrative staff.
8. Incidental work-related travel out-of-town. This can sometimes be a 2–5-day event, such as trade shows. You may choose to opt-out of this function so long as you make a request to do so with administrative staff at least 10 days prior to the event, and there is adequate support available to accomplish the event. Atom Modular, LLC will do its best to accommodate this request.
