Summary:
Atomica is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Procurement and Expense Analyst to support procurement operations and ensure the efficient acquisition of materials and services. This role is onsite in Goleta,CA and will work closely with the Director of Business Operations & Procurement, assisting with purchase order processing, supplier communication, inventory tracking, and procurement optimization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong analytical skills, and is eager to develop expertise within supply chain management and procurement.
Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders, ensuring timely approval, submission, and tracking.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to confirm order status and delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate procurement records within the ERP system (NetSuite).
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal departments to ensure material availability.
- Engage with vendors to verify pricing, lead times, and order fulfillment.
- Conduct supplier research and obtain competitive quotes to assess market conditions.
- Assist in supplier relationship management, including maintaining up-to-date vendor records.
- Support contract negotiations and cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with the Director of Business Operations & Procurement.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.
- Facilitate the processing of blanket purchase orders (POs) and service-based POs, ensuring proper documentation and closure.
- Serve as a liaison between Finance and various departments, addressing procurement-related inquiries.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (preferred).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within procurement operations

Compensation:
$50,000-$75,000
