Responsibilities
- Leadership & Coordination:
- Oversee daily delivery room operations, schedules, and team assignments, ensuring smooth workflows despite staff absences or unplanned cases.
- Supervise patient care and foster high levels of satisfaction among physicians, staff, and patients.
- Operational Oversight:
- Update policies, enforce guidelines, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
- Manage nursing staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
- Patient-Centered Care:
- Promote patient independence by setting care goals, offering tailored support, and responding to service needs.
- Ensure a safe, compassionate, and clean environment through established protocols and standards.
- Financial & Resource Management:
- Monitor budgets, manage supplies, and maintain critical equipment to meet financial objectives.
- Professional Development:
- Advocate for staff growth through education and Magnet Recognition Program initiatives.
- Clinical Support:
- Assist with direct patient care, including circulating, scrubbing, and taking calls as required.
Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least five (5) years of experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum nursing.
- Minimum five (5) years in a leadership or directorship role.
- Licensure & Certifications:
- Unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Colorado.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
