Our manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Estimating Specialist to join our team. The Estimating Specialist will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and resources associated with projects proposed for bidding. This role is essential in helping us secure competitive bids and maintain cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
Analyze project specifications and technical requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor and materials.
Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to validate project details and ensure estimates are precise and feasible.
Review project details to understand materials, labor, and equipment needs, and adjust cost estimates accordingly.
Stay up-to-date with manufacturing processes, material costs, and industry trends to provide reliable estimates.
Adjust estimates as project details evolve, maintaining accuracy throughout the bid process.
Document and maintain a database of cost estimates for reference and project comparisons.
Qualifications & Competencies :
Three to five years experience with custom manufacturing quoting processes.
Experience with computer software including MS Office and ERP software, including proficient Excel skills .
Proficiency creating written and pictorial documentation of manufacturing processes
Experience working as a machinist, a plus
Experience working in an ISO quality environment, a plus
