Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join our team at ATX Specialty Foods, a leading food manufacturing organization. The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the organization’s decision-making process by providing data analysis, generating insights, and identifying trends that drive operational improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, a keen understanding of food manufacturing processes, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Analysis & Reporting:
o Collect, analyze, and interpret production, quality, inventory, and financial data.
o Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), production efficiency, and cost trends.
o Utilize data visualization tools to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
o Support cross-functional teams with ad-hoc data analysis to guide decision-making.
2. Process Optimization:
o Analyze manufacturing processes and identify areas for operational efficiency improvements.
o Work with production teams to develop solutions to reduce waste, increase yield, and enhance product quality.
o Recommend process improvements based on data findings to optimize resource allocation and reduce operational costs.
3. Forecasting & Trend Analysis:
o Assist in forecasting production demands and inventory needs based on historical data and market trends.
o Monitor and report on industry trends and market shifts that may impact production, sourcing, and inventory.
o Provide insights to guide production planning and inventory management.
4. Quality Control & Compliance:
o Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that manufacturing processes meet internal and regulatory quality standards.
o Track and analyze product defect rates and non-conformities, recommending corrective actions.
5. Supply Chain Support:
o Work closely with supply chain teams to monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of raw materials.
o Analyze supplier performance, tracking lead times, costs, and quality metrics to inform sourcing decisions.
6. Collaboration & Communication:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, procurement, and quality control, to ensure alignment on operational goals.
o Provide insights and recommendations to management to support strategic planning and decision-making.
o Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Food Science, or a related field.
· 2-3 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and ERP systems.
· Experience with data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.
· Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, inventory management, and quality control practices is a plus.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in food safety and compliance (e.g., HACCP, FDA regulations).
· Advanced degree or certification in relevant fields (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
· Familiarity with supply chain management tools and software.
Working Conditions:
· Office-based with occasional site visits to the production floor.
· Full-time position with standard working hours
· Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
