Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial records.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic planning.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations.
- Prepare and submit tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in accounting and finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA or advanced certification in accounting preferred).
- Proven experience as an Accounting Analyst or in a similar accounting role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and record-keeping.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively, working independently or as part of a team.
