What are the responsibilities and job description for the COMPLIANCE ANALYST position at Aultman Health Foundation?
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Under the direction of the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer, the Compliance Analyst assists the compliance team in the fulfillment of Aultman’s compliance program. This position plays a pivotal role in the Aultman compliance department’s responsibilities of planning, designing, implementing and maintaining the AHS compliance program, policies, and procedures. Duties include the performance of audits and investigations related to compliance and privacy issues and monitoring of regulatory changes potentially impacting the organization. This position will also promote an awareness and understanding of corporate compliance that is consistent with the values of the Aultman and as required by federal and state law.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Assist in the development of system-wide programs, policies, and procedures to support Aultman’s compliance and privacy programs
Assist in analysis and review of regulatory changes and updates of Federal and State rules and requirements.
Assist in efforts to communicate Aultman’s compliance program, including written materials and training programs designed specifically to promote understanding of compliance issues, laws, regulations, and the consequences of non-compliance.
Provide consultative compliance and privacy support and guidance as appropriate.
Design and perform compliance audits to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
Document procedures and findings in workpapers;
Analyze findings and make appropriate recommendations;
Communicate findings and recommendations in a written report.
Coordinate Corrective Actions, as needed with operational departments and leaders
Perform monitoring activities as needed.
Investigate compliance issues that are identified or reported. Establish the facts, analyze and document the results, make recommendations and summarize the investigation in a final report
Identify potential areas of compliance risk. Assist in the development of the annual work plan.
Practice ethical conduct.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
Experience with health care, medical/legal areas and/or a regulatory environment a plus.
An inquisitive, analytical, and discerning individual able to make educated decisions with minimal supervision.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Works well under pressure, personal diplomacy skills and works well with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Work, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
Trustworthy.
Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient, corporate, and employee matters.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
8:00am – 5:00pm M-F or hours as required by the job.
Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
