Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, and maintaining financial records. This role requires proficiency in financial software and a strong understanding of governmental accounting practices. The Billing Specialist will collaborate with various departments, including human resources and payroll, to ensure seamless financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue invoices to clients in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and payments.
• Analyze billing discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate payroll management.
• Perform data entry tasks related to billing and accounts receivable.
• Utilize PeopleSoft and UltiPro for financial reporting and data management.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed.
• Support the finance team with various administrative tasks related to governmental accounting.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with financial software, particularly PeopleSoft and UltiPro, is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting principles is a plus.
• Experience in human resources or payroll processing is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and clients.
