What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Desktop Support Technician position at Aureon Consulting?
Direct applicants only please, this role requires candidates local to Des Moines who can report to an office 40 hours a week. PLEASE NOTE, this is a 3-month contract role.
PURPOSE
• Provide hardware, software, and mobile support for business and IT users within the organization primarily in West Des Moines with smaller offices located in other areas.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Install, maintain, and update PC hardware and software
• Test, configure and troubleshoot within one or more of the above areas.
• Perform regular monitoring to ensure efficient operation and accuracy.
• Identifies, escalates, and makes recommendations for improvement.
• Communicate to stakeholders regarding status, quality, risks, and operations.
• Complete and document break/fix incidents and move/add/change requests.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Desktop support experience required.
• Certifications are a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Looking for proficiency in the following areas:
troubleshooting PC hardware issues for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices; understanding of the Windows 10/11 operating system.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions, use independent judgment, establish priorities, and work effectively on multiple initiatives concurrently.
