What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Aurex Group?
Aurex Group is partnered with a rapidly growing chemical manufacturing firm seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations. This is a newly created leadership role and is ideal for professionals with a background in refined products or chemical manufacturing—particularly ammonia or refrigerated gases.
**Prior experience in plant or refinery operations and maintenance is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to site operations, including Production, Engineering, Maintenance, HSE, and Logistics teams.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the plant in compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards.
- Supervise and coordinate efforts of the Operations Director, Engineering Director, and third-party operations/maintenance contractors to meet production targets and KPIs.
- Oversee execution of O&M contracts, feedstock supply, off-take agreements, and related commercial operations in alignment with plant performance goals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the hydrocarbon, chemical, or refrigerated gas sector with a strong track record in plant operations and/or site leadership.
- Deep understanding of chemical manufacturing processes (ammonia experience preferred) and operational best practices in a PSM-regulated environment..
- Strong familiarity with marine terminal operations, bulk logistics, and the handling/export of refrigerated gases or refined products.
- Experience supporting or managing feedstock and off-take agreements as they relate to plant operations.
