Your Mission:

Provide exceptional service to guests by assisting with daily campground operations, maintaining facilities, and creating a welcoming and well-organized environment for visitors.

What You’ll Do:

• Guest Engagement: Interact with campers to answer questions, provide information about the campground and activities, and ensure their stay is enjoyable.
• Operational Support: Collaborate with the Campground Manager and other staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Property Maintenance: Perform general upkeep of campsites, communal areas, and campground property to maintain cleanliness and functionality.
• Retail Assistance: Operate cash registers, credit card machines, and handheld electronic devices to process sales and reservations.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish stock of materials and supplies needed for campground operations.
• Administrative Duties: Assist with record-keeping, scheduling, and other tasks as needed, including answering phones and managing emails.
• Training Support: Help onboard and train new staff members to ensure they understand campground procedures and standards.
• Environment Creation: Foster a fun, professional, and productive atmosphere for both guests and team members.
• Setup & Closing: Assist with opening and closing tasks, including preparation of facilities for the day’s operations and end-of-day clean-up.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with guides, managers, and co-workers to support cross-departmental needs.
• Other Duties: Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the campground.

What We’re Looking For:

Required Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups of guests and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment, including answering phones and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with cash handling, registers, and credit card machines.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and word processing.
• A proactive, self-starting work ethic with the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
• Ability to diagnose and address minor issues or concerns efficiently.
• Commitment to meeting deadlines and following company policies outlined in the employee handbook.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in a customer-facing role, particularly in camping, hospitality, or outdoor recreation.
• Ability to oversee large groups or projects throughout the day and adapt to changing workloads.
• Knowledge of Ausable Chasm property, activities, and operations.
• Previous experience with property or facility maintenance.
