Advanced Inflators Development Engineer

What You’ll Do

• The Advanced Inflator group develop new inflators, or any pyrotechnical devices, concepts in close connection with the energetic material group and the Ballistic/CFD/FEA expert groups.
• Contribute actively to all the development projects the team has in charge.
• Drive inflators or pyrotechnical devices Global Development Projects.
• Design and tune inflators to meet a targeted inflation performances and be compliant with OEM and regulation authorities criteria.
• Launch test plans, get them built and tested, perform the analysis and provide clear reports and propose improvement plans
  
  

What Is Required

• MS. In Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in product development. Automotive or Aerospace Industries will be appreciated
• A working knowledge of standard safety practices used when handling energetic materials or pyrotechnical devices with the willingness to use these practices on a daily basis is essential.
• Basic knowledge in structural analysis is desirable
• Basic knowledge in Combustion, Ballistic, Fluid Flow, thermal transfer is desirable.
• Statistical and Numerical analysis skills is must.
• A Basic knowledge of energetic materials functioning is a desirable.
• Basic knowledge on Design of Experiments background is desirable.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint, CATIA or SolidWorks
• Basic programming experience with MATLAB, Python
