Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Selecting and shipping customer orders accurately and in the timeframes required
- Checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices
- Preparing and maintains records of merchandise received and shipped
- Putting stock away in the warehouse or preparing for shipment
- Managing inventory of products stored in the warehouse; ensuring inventory accuracy
- Working with carriers to ensure advantageous pricing and timeliness
- Updating computer system with shipping and receipt activity
- Ensuring packages are 100% on time and 100% accurate for customer shipments
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High School diploma or GED preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year of factory related experience in shipping and receiving
- Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Ability to interpret packing slips and enter the correct information into the computer
- Familiarity with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers
- Ability to estimate weight and use that information to calculate the cost of shipping
- Familiarity with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements
- Experience with UPS/FedEx online software is desirable
- Fork Lift experience a plus
- Ability to lift objects up to 70lbs

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific sensory abilities required by this job include sight, smell, and hearing. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to warehouse equipment, dust, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, hazardous materials, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
