Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including both high and low voltage applications. This role requires expertise in reading blueprints, understanding the National Electrical Code (NEC), and performing renovations as needed. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical installations and maintenance.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Work with high voltage systems as well as low voltage applications.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Perform troubleshooting on electrical equipment and systems to diagnose issues.
- Renovate existing electrical installations to meet current standards and codes.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including frame carpenters and maintenance person services, to ensure comprehensive project completion.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.
Requirements
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience as an Industrial Electrician.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding of the NEC.
- Experience working with logic controllers is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of both high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for installation and repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
