Summary
The Business Processing department ensures that APCO’s contracts pass all eligibility requirements. A close partnership with both our agents in the field and dealership personnel drives success.
The Operations Accounts Receivable Manager will directly support, supervise, and lead a team focused on processing incoming accounts receivables and for company billing as well as evaluation, design, and implementation of best practices to improve service to our clients and business efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Champion a continuous improvement mindset and propose, design, and/or implement innovative solutions to increase the efficiency and compliance of the implementation department.
- Ensure maintenance of customer records related to billing and accounts receivables.
- Assist with calls from external clients including agents and dealership personnel as needed.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of statements and billing for the Business Processing division.
- Assist with monthly close including reconciliations and assigned journal entries.
- Monitor quality control checks for team to ensure accuracy of all processes performed.
- Communicate status, progress, and project plans to internal and external stakeholders for all large scope billing or receivables projects.
- Identify areas of opportunities for process and efficiency improvements within all aspects of Accounts Receivables and present weekly updates to Director for review.
- Drive for superior customer experiences and continuous improvement through the development and implementation of projects involving human capital, processes, and technology.
- Lead, inspire and motivate the team to execute, track progress, monitor results, and continuously improve to achieve goals and meet SLA’s.
- Setting goals for performance and deadlines that comply with APCO’s Core Values.
- Provide guidance, coaching and direction to professionals through a continuous process of active engagement.
- Conduct monthly 1:1s with Supervisor for continued coaching and performance monitoring.
- Conduct yearly performance evaluations of all team Supervisors.
- Approve PTO ensuring department responsibilities maintained and approve timecards.
- Develop and deliver presentations to Senior Leadership.
- Maintain a depth of knowledge regarding facets of the business to include online systems, claims, financing, vehicle information, and general product knowledge.
- Identify emerging issues and trends that may have substantial impact on APCO’s profitability and business results.
- Embrace and support all our core values.
- Function as a mentor for Team Supervisors.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, management, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in accounts receivables, billing or similar role.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership capacity.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Successful leadership experience with a focused approach to dealer, lender, and customer satisfaction and the capacity to motivate, influence, and develop a large team.
- Dedicated to understanding and meeting stakeholder needs, both inside and outside the company.
- Must have persuasive verbal and written communications and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills within guidelines of company procedures and the ability to apply principles of logical and scientific thinking to a wide range of problems.
- Ability to effectively develop and execute workforce management principles with metrics for effective operational performance.
- The ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards and to engage in productive work relationships with a variety of personalities and individuals.
- Must have strong time management skills and the ability to organize and complete work within a given deadline following a systematic method of performing tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, train, develop, and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback.
- Adept at building both technical and leadership skills in their team.
- Requires the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Physical Demands
