What are the responsibilities and job description for the BENCO Inside Sales, Service and Inventory Rep position at Automotive Parts Headquarters, Inc.?
The BENCO Inside Parts Sales, Service and Inventory Representative is responsible for selling parts and automotive equipment within a designated territory which includes retail and wholesale customers. The individual in this role determines prices on parts, creates long-term customer relationships and resolves issues promptly.
JOB DUTIES:
- Processes customer orders taken via phone or email; may visit customer sites on occasion as part of the sales process
- Maintains awareness and knowledge of current sales and sales targets
- Conducts sales transactions with adherence to store/company policies and procedures
- Maintains parts inventory, which includes ordering, stocking and record keeping
- Works closely with vendors so that orders, returns and warranties are processed timely and accurately
- Ensures warehouse is clean and organized; performs shipping and receiving duties, including the processing of freight deliveries and unloading trucks
- Performs regular cycle counts of physical inventory
- Completes all related reports accurately and on time
- Assists other team members as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience and must have a thorough knowledge of the automotive service and shop equipment business and sales approaches
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the company as well as customers, vendors and visitors
- Ability to function in a stressful environment, under substantial time pressure
- Strong organizational skills
- Competency using a forklift and pallet-jack
- Knowledge of desktop computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
