What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Assistant Account Manager/Account Manager position at Automotive Tier 1?
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Account Manager with assigned tasks.
Summary of Assistant Account Manager Tasks:
• Create and submit quotations for new business.
• Manage quotation activities, including prototype and trial orders.
• Collaborate on special projects and handle miscellaneous customer requests.
• Analyze customer purchase orders to ensure consistency with proposals and requirements.
• Summarize parts list and sales forecast for current and future models.
• Coordinate design changes with Planning, Engineering, Purchasing, and PC teams.
• Review packaging specifications and provide accurate quotes.
• Support Vendor Tooling audits with Sales and Tooling Engineering teams.
• Maintain profit levels in accordance with corporate guidelines to recover costs for all quotations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other internal departments.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree (4-year) in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or
related fields.
Experience and Training Requirements:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Preferred: Manufacturing experience through Co-Op or Internship.
• Fundamental understanding of international business, sales, and supply chain.
Skills/Language(s) & Travel Requirements:
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Some domestic travel required (approximately 5-10%).
