Responsibilities:
Treatment Nurse RN or LPN
Job Duties:
- Assess the unique needs of each resident to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Educate residents and all nursing staff on best practices to promote healing and wellness
- Track treatments and resident progress according to HIPAA guidelines
- Perform rounds with Wound Care Plus
- Perform and monitor skin assessments.
- Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure smooth recovery processes
- Update responsible party on wound care progress.
- Weekly Wound care Report and documentation in clinical record.
- Join with Nursing Management in on-call rotation
- Fulfill other nursing duties as required
The Treatment Nurse will supervise nursing personnel, participate in MDS and care planning for residents with wounds, serve an integral role in the staff training, and deliver direct care to all residents with wounds. The ideal Treatment Nurse will share our vision to provide the very best in patient care.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Licensed Professional Nurse or Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed in our state
- Must have at least one-year experience in a long-term skilled nursing community performing wound care.
- Able to relate positively and favorably to customers and families and to work cooperatively with others
- Demonstrate understanding of state and federal rules and regulations that govern the practices of the facility
