LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
JOB SUMMARY :
Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the efficient movement of goods, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and optimizing supply chain processes. This role requires in-depth knowledge of import / export procedures and certifications in customs regulations to facilitate seamless international trade operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Plan and manage the transportation of goods domestically and internationally.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Optimize shipping routes and methods to minimize costs and lead times.
- Prepare and process import / export documentation, including bills of lading, certificates of origin, and commercial invoices.
- Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Maintain and update customs certifications and licenses as required.
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, and government agencies for smooth operations.
- Address and resolve issues related to shipping delays, customs holds, or discrepancies.
- Track shipments and maintain accurate records in ERP systems.
- Analyze logistics performance and prepare reports on shipping costs, delivery timelines, and compliance metrics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to damaged goods, lost shipments, or non-compliance.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent future disruptions.
- Identify inefficiencies in logistics processes and recommend solutions.
- Stay updated on changes in customs laws, tariffs, and international trade policies.
- All other duties as assigned.
