Job Type: Hourly, non-exempt. Salary range based on experience and skill level.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to increase our productivity and the quality of our finished products. The qualified candidate will be able to run a CNC machine, perform quality checks, monitor, and record hourly machine output readings as well as create detailed reports for management.

A CNC Operator’s Day in the Life:
· Produce machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine using proper calibration procedures.
· Strictly follow guidelines for operating machinery performing tasks such as drilling, grinding. milling and lathing.
· The CNC Operator will use coding languages to translate instructions into commands that enable the machines to perform the correct function.
· Perform inspections of the work area and machines at the beginning, during and end of each shift.
· Use proper handling techniques and PPE to load raw materials and unload castings.
· Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
· Maintain detailed part record.
· Follow all company policies and safety protocols.
What will Set You Up for Success:
· Analytical skills to read and understand specifications of part drawings, blueprints, models, mechanical drawings, and other technical specifications to operating CNC machine.
· Expertise in math and software skills: Use knowledge of Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software and CAD (computer-aided design) programs; measure dimensions, set parameters in the software and check part tolerances/quality control.
· Excellent engineering skills to develop a deep working understanding of how the machinery operates. Required to clean, calibrate, and maintain the machines and other tools.
Problem-solving and deduction skills while adhering to equipment safety rules and safe work practices.
Requirements:
· A high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of operating computer numeric controlled (CNC) production equipment.
· Fundamentals of Metal Fabrication certification or industry-related certifications preferred.
· Standing for long periods of time.
· Bending, reaching, lifting, carrying up to 75 pounds.
· Wearing personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, etc.)
· Maintaining equipment, adhering to quality and safety standards, and keeping detailed part records.
· Participating in periodic training and safety classes.
All candidates must be able to pass drug test, pre-employment physical, and possible background investigation.
