Position Overview
As a Contract Manager , you'll be at the heart of driving our company's success by managing contracts from start to finish. You’ll collaborate with various teams to ensure that our proposals and contracts align with strategic goals and meet all necessary standards. This role is critical to ensuring that our contracts not only reflect our mission but also help propel the business forward.
What You'll Do :
Proposal Management :
Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and customer needs.
Lead the development of clear, compelling technical proposals that showcase our value.
Oversee the full proposal process, from initial requests to final submission.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of proposals that meet client specifications.
Build and maintain a library of reusable content such as templates, case studies, and more.
Partner with teams to manage contract budgets and ensure alignment with price proposals.
Contract Management :
Manage the contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation through to execution and renewal.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners.
Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Work with project managers to ensure a smooth transition from contract approval to project launch.
Record Keeping & Documentation :
Keep thorough, up-to-date records of all contracts and proposals, including any amendments.
Ensure documents are well organized and accessible for future reference.
Maintain a database of contracts and related documents for easy access.
Risk Management :
Identify and mitigate any risks associated with contracts.
Use risk management strategies to protect the company’s interests.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure contract success.
Continuous Improvement :
Stay current on industry trends and best practices to improve proposal and contract processes.
Recommend and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaboration & Communication :
Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to gather insights and input for contracts.
Clearly communicate proposal and contract requirements to all stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, customers, and vendors.
Data Analysis :
Use data tools to guide decisions and provide regular updates to the management team.
Requirements
Experience : 8 years in contract and proposal management.
Expertise : Familiarity with industry regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Service Contract Act (SCA), and other relevant laws.
Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Ability to influence and collaborate across various levels of the organization.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
Bonus : Professional certifications in contract management are a plus.
